New Ithaki's development blog!
Hi People,I'm curretly working on several projects, one to help the scientific community of Argentina, the meta search engines Ithaki.net and Todalanet.net and an experimental molecular biology project.
I currently need help to promote Ithaki and some php/mysql help for the scientific project (which will be relased as GPL and could be addapted to any country).
If you want to help with the web projects just send me a line!.
I just started this blog, mainly because I have never had one and I was a bit curious, also because I think it's kind of interesting the whole process. Right now, there's a kind of hype with blogs that I suppose will end soon as it happens with all the hypes. But eventually you can discover some things. I'll try to post things often
Keep evolving! ;)
Peace,
Carla

Hi Sue,
I had a "little problem" with the hosting company that was supposed to host Ithaki (If you have a serious business I REALLY DON'T recommend you VirtuosoNetSolutions).
I switched from my old dedicated hosting service since they were supposed to sponsor Ithaki but I sadly realized that they had a rude, impolite and worthless customer service that never helped at all with the one and only problem I've had.
Without a shadow of a doubt the most awful company I've ever dealt with (and I've been a dedicated hosting customer for more than 6 years).
This hosting mess was just in the middle of my final thesis so I didn't have any free time to set up Ithaki from scratch!.
I was going to write a long article about them, because I was treated so badly that I wanted to let people know what they had done and how bad they treated all Ithaki.net users but I don't want to spend my little free time left with a company that will be soon buried by their own weight.
Thanks for worrying! :)
Peace, Carla
Hi Carla,
This is a great metasearch.
I see that you also have search for India. Most Indian "search engines" are directory based. However, www.terrawiz.com is a true crawler based search engine for India and India related content.
Please include www.terrawiz.com in your site list for all searches.
You can check it out!
I bet you won't be disappointed.
cheers
Hi,
Many thanks, I'll check it out and I'll add it ASAP. I've also noticed that most of the SE of India are directories. I really don't understand why this happens because India is known to have the best software engineers worldwide.
best regards and many thanks for your interest!
Carla
